Obituary of Francis J. Hooley, Jr.

Francis J. Hooley, Jr. Allegany, NY Francis J. Hooley, Jr. of 2936 Five Mile Rd. passed away peacefully Saturday (May 30, 3015) at his home. Born January 17, 1930 in Olean he was the son of Francis J. and Agnes Fay Hooley, Sr. Mr. Hooley attended Allegany Central School and later enlisted in the US Army. He served during the Korean War while stationed in Germany from 1951 to 1952. He had been employed for over 25 years as a maintenance supervisor for the former L'Alcove Castle Corp and was in charge of properties at the Castle Motel, the Castle Restaurant, Ponderosa Restaurant and the Holiday Inn. He was excellent at carpentry and woodworking and enjoying building and maintaining houses he lived in. Surviving are 2 daughters Yvonne (Kenneth) Work of Clarence and Tina (John) Cabisca of Moravia; 5 grandchildren Nathan, Samantha, John, Chris and Sidney; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and 3 sisters Mary Louise Stephens, Katharine Chesbro and Phyllis Davis. Private funeral services will be held Wednesday (June 3, 2015) at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Rev. Wes Gilbert will officiate.
