Obituary of Clara Bolden

Clara Bolden Olean, NY Clara Bolden of Olean passed away peacefully Tuesday (June 23, 2015) at the Hart Comfort House in Wellsville after a brief illness. Born January 10, 1933 in Olean she was the daughter of Jay C. Norris and Vinnie Bolden Doman. Clara was a 1951 graduate of Olean High School and worked as a clerk for the former A & P grocery store. She later worked for the former Cooper Industries (now Eaton Corp) in Olean until her retirement. She was a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Church of God in Christ in Olean and she enjoyed being an active member of the YMCA. She also sang in the Gospel Choraliers. Surviving are several cousins as well as several friends in the Olean area. She was predeceased by her mother Vinnie Doman in 1988 and her stepfather Alfred Doman in 1983. Friends will be received on Tuesday (June 30, 2015) from 11-12pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Funeral services will begin at 12pm in the funeral home. Rev. Gerald Slack will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Salvation Army of Olean, 310 E. State St. Olean, NY 14760.
