Obituary of Jane S. Guthrie

Jane S. Guthrie Allegany, NY Jane S. Guthrie, 56, of 39 Harriet St. passed away Wednesday (August 19, 2015) at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo after a brief illness. Born January 10, 1959 in Olean she was the daughter of Merle and Jean Perry Schultz. Jane was a 1977 graduate of Allegany Central School and first worked for 20 years as a department manager for JC Penny Co. in Olean. She was currently employed as a home furnishings consultant for Raymour and Flanagan Co. in Olean. She loved being with her family and also enjoyed the people she worked with and the customers over the years. She liked to ride her motorcycle and also spending time crocheting. Surviving are her father of Allegany; a daughter Stephanie Guthrie of Allegany; a son Jeremy (Katy) Guthrie of Allegany; 2 grandchildren Cody Guthrie and Mya Guthrie; 2 sisters Julie (Brian) VanOrman of Orange, CA and Joann (John) Cotner of Austin, TX; 2 brothers John (Sally) Schultz of Ischua and James (Nancy) Schultz of Hinsdale and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother; a sister Jill Sokolowski and her former husband and close friend Robert Guthrie. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Sunday evening from 4-7pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd. Olean.
